Caption
Dambudzo Marechera, Nigel Huleatt-James, Daryl Nero, lunch in the garden of Ballymakosa, an old farm house in the rural community of Raffingora, about 150 km North of Harare, where Nigel, his wife Shiona and Daryl ran a pottery, did paintings and fabric prints. The Wild family had taken DM for a day's outing to see their friends. It was a very hot November day; DM enjoyed the animated conversation, the fresh food from the vegetable garden, hot chilis, and Tequila with lemons. His poem "Sunday it's Raffingora" (CM p. 98) relates to
the day.
