Berlin AIDS Oral History Collection

This collection presents interviews with people who speak about their varied experiences of the AIDS crisis in Berlin, living with HIV/AIDS, and their related social and political engagements. Their stories bring to life Berlin's history and present as a 'HIV metropolis' and as a place of diverse, also international self-help and activist initiatives. Two clips with interview excerpts on the topics ‘Diversity’ and ‘Mourning’ give an impression of the range of the interviews.
The collection was created in 2020 under the responsibility of the Schwules Museum in cooperation with the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, made possible by a grant from the Senate of Berlin.
