Flora Veit-Wild gave Dambudzo Marechera the transcripts of her interviews with other Zimbabwean poets to read. This is the interview she conducted with him after he had read them. His response encouraged her to make a book out of them, which was published as "Patterns of Poetry in Zimbabwe" (1988) - see also resource 641.
