Caption
The film of 1985 consists of interviews with a number of Zimbabwean writers talking to specific themes, Marechera among them. Literary scholars comment on the works of the authors. This is a shortened version (about 29 min) of the original 55 min, featuring mainly the parts with Marechera. Unedited footage of the interviews with Marechera are stored at the National Archives of Zimbabwe.
Olley Maruma was one of the first Zimbabwean filmmakers, he died in 2010, aged 57. See Ressource ID 79, interview with Maruma
