Abstract
Traditional beehives in the Adamaoua Region of Cameroon are manufactured in a way that forces the beekeepers to remove brood combs before reaching the honey combs when harvesting honey. This can lead to the loss of brood and even the destruction of the entire bee colony. The film introduces an innovative beekeeper who makes small changes to a traditional hive that allow him to harvest honey without damaging the brood. The film which may be used for training and awareness measures gives a detailed instruction on how to construct the hive and to harvest the honey in order to achieve a bee-friendly and sustainable way of beekeeping.
