Kurzbeschreibung

Research Data Live Longer..." is an educational video on research data management. It tells the story of a successful project in fictional squirrel research. Despite excellent research, sustainable data management has been neglected. Along the life cycle of research data a typical project process is described. Luise, Rachel and Frank have successful ideas and achieve excellent results, but unfortunately do not spend enough time on planning and coordinating data management. This already costs them a lot of time in the course of the project, but does not preclude them from completing the project successfully. But when their publications receive great interest in the community and other scientists want to work with their data, it becomes difficult. Finally, when Remy wants to reuse the project results in his new project, they must realise that much information has been lost.
