Abstract
This recording is from Gerd Koch's Kiribati tape collection (1963–1964). According to Koch's documentation, KN 100a "Aue tangitang te kauki aue" is a dance song of the katokabau te mae genre, recorded in Routa/Temwanoku, Nonouti, on 25 January 1964 at 4:15 p.m. This genre is associated with the ceremonial welcoming and garlanding of guests. The composer and date of composition are unknown.
